Wildcats Lacrosse Gets Started

Lacrosse is coming to the SCYSA.

The Santa Clarita Wildcats have formed a 7/8 grade boys lacrosse team for the 2010 season.  The Wildcats were invited to participate in the Southern California Lacrosse Association.

The SCLA operates out of the Conejo Valley and has teams in Agoura, Newbury Park, Thousand Oaks, Westlake, Simi Valley, Oak Park and Calabassas.  All games will be played at Peppertree Park in Thousand Oaks.

The SCLA is divided into Gold and Silver divisions this season.  The Wildcats will compete in the second tier Silver division.

Wildcat Lacrosse will be coached by veteran youth football coach John "JT" Torres.  Coach JT has experience in lacrosse as his older son played the game for a time. Coach JT is also a founder of the SCYSA and current Director of Operations for the organization.
