Wildcats Split Games at Spring Tourney
Tuesday, April 13, 2010 at 10:08PM The Santa Clarita Wildcats participated in a Spring Break tourney on April 10th with teams from Malibu and Calabasas. The Wildcats put on an impressive showing with a hard fought game against Malibu, earning a win with a late goal, 8-7.
Scoring for the Wildcats were Zack Reyes (3x), Patrick McGoldrick (2x), Malik Townsend (2x), Roger Willcox, and JK Torres. Nick Probert was solid at goalie, denying a furious attack by the Sharks to preserve the win.
Game two was against an experienced Calabasas team, but the Wildcats scored first and came back from a 4-1 deficit to get within one goal. Alas, two games in a row proved a challenge for Santa Clarita as the the Coyotes wet on to win the tournament, 12-4.
Scoring for the Wildcats were JK Torres (3x) and Malik Townsend.
Throughout the day, the Wildcat defense played tough with Tommy Bito, Cody West, Dan Judy and Tyler Barkley holding the line. Attack Men and Midfielders Daniel Lee, Garrett Clark, Roger Willcox, Jeff Savant, Luke Meottel, Kobe Diamond, Tommy Jerzek and Austin Lyon all contributed to the effort.
