It's crunch time for recruits

The first day to sign a letter of intent for football is Feb. 1, so decision time is near, and there are players still undecided.

Standout defensive end Jeremiah Allison of Dorsey said he's down to Washington State, UCLA, Duke and Nevada.

Gardena Serra Coach Scott Altenberg said he expects defensive back Raymond Ford to choose between Utah and California.

Longtime Stanford commit Kodi Whitfield of Loyola is visiting UCLA this weekend to see if he might have a change in plans. Also visiting UCLA is longtime California commit Bryce Treggs from St. John Bosco.

San Clemente lineman Kyle Murphy is at USC.
